The INTERREG MED Programme together with the French, Italian and Spanish representations of the European Commission (in Marseilles, Milano, Barcelona) are pleased to announce their first joint event that will be held in Marseilles on 22nd and 23rd June 2015: 'Global challenges, Mediterranean solutions. Decision taking and concrete actions' This event will be the occasion for the INTERREG MED Programme to officially launch the 2014-2020 programming period and to discuss about the innovative solutions offered by Mediterranean cooperation to jointly tackle global challenges.
Expo Milano 2015 is a non-commercial Universal Exposition with some very unique and innovative features. Not only is it an exhibition but also a process, one of active participation among a large number of players around the theme of Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. It is sustainable, technological, thematic and focused on its visitors. Open from May 1 to October 31, 2015, the Expo will host over 130 participants. Running for 184 days, this giant exhibition site, covering one million square meters, is expected to welcome over 20 million visitors.
The European Design (Interior Design) 2015 mission will be part of the EU Business Avenues’ inaugural mission in ASEAN with participation of 30 to 40 European companies selected by the European Union to broaden their business and will be held on Thursday, 13th March 2015 to Monday, 16th March 2015. The mission will include sector expert presentations, site visits, networking opportunities and a two-day bespoke business exhibition, as part of the International Furniture Fair Singapore 2015. There is also a business study trip for European companies to Vietnam.

he 2nd edition of the Istanbul Design Biennial, with a theme of "The Future Is Not What It Used To Be," will be held November 1 through December 14, 2014. The biennial will feature a wide range of events, workshops, conferences and screenings. Organizers are encouraging individuals from any field or background related to design to contribute. The biennial is interested in receiving concepts for manifestos in all forms, including, but not limited to, images, animations, videos, graphics, diagrams, and/or texts.
During the 13th edition of Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven you can see with your own eyes how the world of tomorrow is already in the making today. Smart solutions and inventive design offer new promising perspectives. From October 18 through October 26, the doors to the future open up in a city that buzzes with inspiration and creative energy for nine full days.
This autumn, the MED Programme will be on the move. Save the date to join one of several MED events in or close to your region from 14th to 24th of October 2014. The MED Programme 2007-2014 is at its full expansion. With 14 new proposals approved only some weeks ago, a total of 158 MED projects has now been implemented by partners of 13 Mediterranean countries striving for transnational and more integrated solutions. In parallel, the new MED Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 has been developed and is ready to be approved by the European Commission this autumn.
Shapes project, in particular the shapes toolbox, will be presented in Valencia during MEDontheMOVE event.
The latest generation of fashion designers takes a critical view of the current fashion system. They are coming up with innovative solutions and fresh designs at the cutting edge of fashion and art. Sustainability, futuristic technologies and the social value of clothes are themes with which these designers address the fashion of the future. The exhibition will show work by more than fifty international designers, from renowned fashion houses to young up-and-coming talent. Clothes and accesories will be shown as wel as videos and installations.
